DEG Adds 5 Member Companies

Los Angeles – The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) said Thursday that it has added five new member companies from its ever-expanding circle of associated industries.

New DEG members include BBC America, bitMAX, Gibson Brands, Millennium Entertainment and Random Media.  

The new companies represent a range of cross-sectors serving the home entertainment industry, including film and television content creation and acquisition, life-style music entertainment products, digital asset management and delivery services.

BBC America delivers U.S. audiences high quality, innovative and intelligent programming. Established in 1998, it has been the launch pad for talent embraced by American mainstream pop culture, including Ricky Gervais, Gordon Ramsay, Graham Norton, and successful programming formats including “Top Gear,” and “Doctor Who.”

Owned by BBC Worldwide, it is available on cable and satellite TV in 80 million homes and broadcasts in both standard and high-definition, with content available On Demand across all major digital platforms. 

bitMAX is a provider of digital asset management and distribution  services to commercial and music video production companies, post production  facilities, advertising agencies, film and TV distribution companies, museums,  corporate clients, e-commerce companies, both major and independent music labels and artists.

Its proprietary digital technology provides a one-stop-shopping experience for clients who want to store, retrieve, and distribute video and audio assets on tape, DVD or over broadband.

Gibson Brands is a global music and lifestyle-oriented company based in Nashville, Tenn., creating a diverse range of products from its legendary Gibson-brands of fretted musical instruments, including the most recent LPX guitar and the Min-ETune tuning system, and more recently home audio components, including Onkyo and Cerwin-Vega!.
