DDG Creates Z-Wave Packages

Seattle – The Digital Delivery Group (DDG), a consortium of regional CE specialty distributors, is simplifying the home-automation purchasing decision for installers and consumers by creating five home automation systems from multiple brands of Z-Wave wireless products.

Each package, suitable for retrofitting in existing homes, integrates remote home management, entertainment, lighting, and HVAC control products from Nevo, Leviton and Wayne-Dalton. The packages incorporate Nevo Z-Wave-equipped handheld remote controls to operate the bundles products. The packages start with a basic

home theater lighting and entertainment package to zone packages that manage lighting, entertainment, HVAC, and monitoring for multiple zones.

The packages also include a CD containing Nevo 2.0 software pre-configured for each package, video tutorials, printable literature for customers; information on Nevo’s Certified Dealer Program, and DDG’s IR library, which features IR codes for such brands as Mitsubishi, Panasonic Pro and TiVo.

The packages “makes it easier for retail custom installers to provide home owners with highly capable systems that work right the first time they are turned on,” DDG said. The packages are “retrofittable, reliable, affordable and highly scalable,” added executive director David Kaplan. He called the packages “simple and robust to install and configure.”

All 28 regional DDG warehouses are offering the packages.
