CVS To Offer In-Store Digital Photography Lessons

Woonsocket, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy will offer free in-store workshops for digital camera owners every Sunday through August.

The “Digital Sundays” workshops are the first time the retailer has “formalized” its digital photography instruction, according to a company spokesperson.

The courses will last two hours and will be conducted by store personnel in locations that have a photo center. Consumers will learn about camera quality settings and will be given advice on what to consider when purchasing memory cards, batteries and other imaging accessories.

Consumers will also be taught basic photo editing and instructed on how to use a kiosk.

“Digital photography has made shooting photos so much easier, but consumers are not printing their photos because there’s quite a bit of confusion about how to do it,” the spokesperson said. “There are so many options — at-home printers, online print sites, in-store kiosks and photo labs. Digital Sundays will explain the various options and give consumers the information they need to make an informed decision.”
