Fremont, Calif. — Flash-memory marketer Corsair announced a pair of security-minded USB flash drives today.
The Flash Padlock line will incorporate an auto-locking feature that activates security features on the drive the minute it is removed from a computer. It offers a PIN-based touch-pad entry system for unlocking the drive and can defend against “brute force hacks or keystroke loggers” the company claimed.
The Flash Padlock drives ship this month in 1GB and 2GB capacities for a suggested $29.99 and $39.99, respectively.
