New York – The Cabrini Mission Foundation said it will be honoring CompUSA CEO Hal Compton with its ‘Spirit of Cabrini Award’ at its annual gala this year, to be held here Nov. 6.
Along with Compton, NBC Entertainment president Jeff Zucker will be honored. The event will be hosted by actor and writer Charles Grodin. Each year, the foundation holds a formal awards dinner to honor an individual or individuals who exemplify the Cabrinian mission of service from the heart, especially for works related to women, children, the elderly and immigrants.
Hal Compton is being honored for his participation in philanthropic organizations and efforts over the years. Compton is on the advisory board of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women and has raised money for the hospital through CompUSA’s participation in Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope. In addition to being instrumental in the good works provided by CompUSA’s Angel Tree, Leukemia and Carter Blood Care, and the North Texas Food Bank, he has also engaged in very active support of City of Hope, a medical institution.
