Mahwah, N.J. -Phil Cohn, D&M's SVP of sales and marketing for three audio brands, left the company, which is also making organizational changes, said Jim Caudill, D&M's chairman, president and CEO.

Kevin Zarow, Marantz's sales and marketing VP, is taking on the new title of senior VP of sales for the Denon, Marantz, and Boston Acoustics brands and will report directly to Caudill. The company will also create a new product marketing VP position to lead the company's Denon and Marantz product development efforts, Caudill said.

Cohn left D&M today, Sept. 2, after seven years "to pursue career interests outside of the consumer electronics industry," the company said in a statement that wished Cohn well.

"None of these changes will affect the day-to-day operations of D&M and our brand companies," the company added. "We look forward to continuing to refine and improve our sales and marketing capabilities in order to be an even stronger and more effective ally for all of our valued retail and custom integration partners across North America."

Cohn's departure follows the late July departure of Bob Weissburg, D&M's sales and marketing president /Americas; the June departure of Eli Harary, senior VP of global brand management at Boston Acoustics; the April departure of longtime executive Stephen Baker, who has just been appointed senior sales VP for Olive Media's U.S., Canada and Latin America operations; and the recent departure of Keith Kranepool, who was sales director for Denon and Boston Acoustics.

Caudill joined D&M about a year ago, having been an executive at Stanley Black & Decker. He came on board at the time as CEO and representative director of D&M Holdings.
