ClearOne Adds NetStreams IP-Based Products

Indianapolis – ClearOne came to
the CEDIA Expo with six new products for its NetStreams-brand IP-based A/V
distribution and control systems, including an IP encoder and companion that
enables streaming of HDCP-compliant HDMI high-definition content around the
house over CAT wiring.

 Other new products include the company’s
highest power in-wall/rack-mount amplifier/digital audio decoder at
2×150-watts, a new music-management system that lets users access their music
library from anywhere in the world, and a new Internet radio
tuner compatible with two StreamNet controller/amplifiers

 Here’s what’s on display.

 –the MLVA9500 IP encoder for A/V content from
an HDMI source; its companion VL9300 IP decoder connects to an HDTV display or
other AV component;

–the Anthology
IP-based network music system, which accesses music on PCs, a PC’s iTunes application, Cloud-based music services, and remote servers;
it also streams Internet radio;

— the Anthology Cloud
Sync service,
which automatically backs up a user’s networked content to a private

Cloud-based data locker
for remote
access from computers and mobile devices while the consumer is out of the
house;

–the SLX300 in-wall
or rack-mount digital decoder/amplifier, which is the most powerful two-channel amplifier in the NetStreams DigiLinX line and addresses what the company
called a long-standing need;

a webserver that tunes and streams more than 10,000 MP3 Internet radio stations,
making  MP3 Internet radio a local source
to any zone in a NetStreams DigiLinX system; the feature is compatible with the
TLA250 and SL251 IP audio decoders/amplifiers; and

–BluePort,
a
stereo Bluetooth gateway that turns any similarly equipped smartphone or portable device into
a wireless audio source for one zone or multiple zones in a home system.

“These
components add essential depth and breadth to the DigiLinX product line,”
said Buzz Goddard, worldwide residential sales VP. “In particular, the
residential market launch of our HDCP-compliant IP encoder and decoder for HDMI
is a major milestone. The other products add important features, like streaming
audio from Bluetooth devices or Internet radio, which keep DigiLinX at the
cutting edge of what our customers expect from our home systems.”

All
products are either available now or will begin shipping within the next two
months.
