Clarion Names U.S. President

Cypress, Calif. – Clarion Corp. of
America (CCA) named Paul Lachner to the position of president to succeed Tom
Hayashi, who will retire on March 31.

Hayashi has been president since
April 2010 and has been with Clarion for more than 37 years.

 Lachner joined Clarion in 2001 and most
recently served as CCA’s executive VP of sales.

Lachner’s background includes time
spent in engineering at a big three U.S. automaker and in sales management at a
tier one system integrator and within the base of audio and infotainment suppliers
to automakers, Clarion said.

Lachner holds a Bachelor of
Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Masters
Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Detroit Mercy. 

“I look forward to leading the
corporation in our new fiscal year with an increased focus on connected
products and solutions,” Lachner said.

CCA is a subsidiary of
Tokyo-based Clarion Co. Ltd.,
which has been a consolidated subsidiary of the Hitachi Group since 2007 and
has been a supplier of car audio and electronics since 1940.
