Richmond, Va. — Circuit City will host a live online forum next week featuring Madden NFL 08 cover athlete Vince Young to help launch the much-anticipated video game.
The exclusive forum, co-sponsored by the title’s developer and publisher EA Sports, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. EST at www.circuitcity.com, one day after Madden NFL 08 goes on sale nationwide. The forum will allow gamers and football fans to interact with the acclaimed quarterback.
“I’m looking forward to meeting fans and gamers at CircuitCity.com,” Young said in a statement. “Since the forum comes right on the heels of launch day for this year’s Madden installment, we know people will really be pumped for this event.”
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be teaming with Vince Young and EA Sports for this unique live event,” said George Clark, Jr., Circuit City’s executive VP for multichannel sales. “Gamers and football fans alike will jump at the opportunity to communicate with Vince, and we’re delighted to be able to provide this experience for our customers.”
The Vince Young event is the latest in a series of live online forums hosted by Circuit City to provide consumers with access to experts and celebrities, the retailer said. Recent Circuit City forums have featured leading figures from the worlds of video gaming, computing and photography.
