CES 2003 To Sport True Int’l Flavor

The 2003 International CES will showcase products from 2,000 international exhibitors, according to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the show’s producer.

Products that are set to be featured include wireless communications, gaming, digital video, audio, accessories, broadband, mobile electronics and a variety of other categories.

CEA expects 10,000 attendees from 100 different countries to attend 2003 CES and the show will offer international visitors access to the International Commerce Center, an on-site area for business services such as computer and fax capabilities, and a lounge for business meetings.

The International Gateway returns to CES in 2003 with more than 50,000 square feet of space at the Las Vegas Hilton. This venue will be home to exhibitors from Korea, Hong Kong, Sweden, Germany, Israel, Japan and elsewhere.

Registration for the show is now open at www.CESweb.org for international and domestic attendees.

CEA also reports that Innovations 2003, the consumer technology design awards program sponsored by the association and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America are being accepted until Sept. 27. The eighth annual awards program gives manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their products judged by industry experts with the winning products to be showcased at CES.

The awards recognize the best designed and engineered products in a wide range of categories. Innovations is open to anyone who wishes to enter regardless of whether they are exhibiting at CES or not. For more information, contact Roz Graham of CEA at 703-907-7432 or e-mail: [email protected].
