CEA Names Four Execs To Its Board

Arlington, Va. - Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has added four executives to its board.

The four executives to join the board are: Atlantic Technology International founder and chairman Peter Tribeman, Philips Consumer Electronics North America president Reinier Jens, LG Electronics president/CEO Michael Ahn, and Microsoft strategic relations and policy general manager Charles Mauzy. Their terms are effective immediately and run through Dec. 31, 2006.

In a prepared statement, Gary Shapiro, president/CEO of CEA, noted, "As our industry continues to broaden in scope, CEA will continue to grow to reflect and help lead the continual evolution of our industry."

Reinier Jens has been with the company since 1986, recently serving as managing director of Philips Consumer Electronics, Northern Europe before his promotion to president.

Charles Mauzy has more than 30 years experience in global alliance development and visual communications. Currently, he leads the development of global strategic relationships with broadcast, cable, consumer electronics, wireless, telephone and media industry partners for Microsoft.

Peter Tribeman founded the company in 1989 after forming Audio Pulse. While at Audio Pulse, Tribeman led the company's design team in developing the world's first consumer-oriented digital time delay system. Since that time, Tribeman has put Atlantic Technology in the forefront of the design, manufacture and distribution of high-quality home theater loudspeaker products.

Michael Ahn brings extensive global branding and local U.S. management experience to his new role as president of LG. Before this position, he served as executive VP in charge of worldwide sales for the LG Digital Appliance Company. Ahn has also been a leader in developing significant opportunities for LG-brand digital video product growth and further expanding the reach of LG-brand mobile phones and digital appliances in the U.S. and Canada.
