Case Logic Purchases Wireless Accessory Firm

Longmont, Colo. – Portable storage accessories maker Case Logic has acquired H & L Products, a developer and marketer of wireless accessory products to the mass market under the Samsonite, World Wireless and World Link Wireless brands.

The acquisition marks a significant step for Case Logic in the continued expansion of its offering of accessory products at the intersection of lifestyle and technology, said the company, which designs, sources, markets and distributes products worldwide for the audio, computer, photo-video, DVD and automotive markets. Case Logic is owned in partnership with Denver-based KRG Capital Partners. H & L products include rapid chargers, handset accessories, faceplate covers and cases.

The combination of the two businesses will allow both companies to intensify their focus on servicing customers and driving further product innovation, said Case Logic. No purchase price was disclosed.

Ken Margulis, CEO of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based H & L, will remain head of the company and retain a significant equity stake in the combined operation.

H & L’s focus on providing accessory products to customers in the growing wireless accessory segment will remain unchanged, including its management team and present location, according to Case Logic.
