UPDATE! New York – Select carriers have begun pricing Samsung’s new flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone.

T-Mobile priced the device at $660 with no contract, announced pre-orders would begin March 24 through its website and in stores, and said in-store sales would begin April 11. With $0 down, consumers can pay the device off in installments at $27.50/month for 24 months.

AT&T and U.S. Cellular priced it at $200 with two-year contract and begin talking preorders on Friday, March 21. They said they plan early April availability.

AT&T will also sell the S5 with no contract at $650. Under AT&T’s Next 18 and Next 12 trade-up programs, consumers will pay $25/month and $32.50/month, respectively, for the device.

Separately, AT&T priced the new Samsung Gear 2 smart watch at $299, the Samsung Gear 2 Neo smart watch at $199, and the Gear Fit fitness band at $199. The carrier promised availability sometime later in April.

Late last month, Sprint’s no-contract brands Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile announced they will offer the Samsung Galaxy S5 sometime in the second quarter but didn’t announce prices. Sprint and Verizon also plan to offer the device, which Samsung has said would be available globally April 11.

The S5, unveiled at the Mobile World Congress last month, adds stepped-up Wi-Fi and LTE performance, faster CPU, enhanced camera capabilities and fitness tools compared with the S4. The new model is also Samsung’s first phone with a fingerprint scanner, which appears on the display screen to unlock the device, unlock user-selected content and make secure mobile payments.
