Lake Success, N.Y. — Canon is now shipping three video projectors in its value LV series of business and entertainment LCD projectors, with suggested retails of $999, $1,199 and $1,499.
The models, LV-X7, LV-7260 and LV-7265 all output XGA (1,024 by 768) resolution, and also support UXGA (1,600 by 1,200) and SXGA (1,280 by 1,024) through high-quality compression, Canon said.
The top-of-the-line LV-Series LV-7265 outputs 2,500 ANSI lumens of brightness. The LV-7260 offers 2,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, and the LV-X7 features 1,500 ANSI lumens of brightness.
The contrast ratio for the LV-7265 and LV-7260 models is listed as 600:1, and 500:1 is listed for the LV-X7.
Key features include a short throw distance using a 1.6x Canon wide-angle seven-group zoom lens.
The LV-7265 also adds a high-speed DVI-I interface, a VGA output terminal for an external (optional) video monitor and an audio output. All three projectors include S-video, composite, component (through the VGA terminal via an optional cable), and a VGA input and audio input.
