3/13/2008 11:58:00 AM Eastern

Lake Success, N.Y. — Canon will ship three new 10-megapixel Digital Elphs to dealers in the next two months, the company said today.

The SD890 IS, SD790 IS and SD770 IS all include optical image stabilization, face detection and Canon’s DIGIC III engine. The Elphs will also incorporate Canon’s new motion detection technology, originally announced in its PMA line-up. When the cameras detect motion, they will automatically boost the ISO, or lower the ISO when no motion is detected.
