Bridgewater, N.J. — Brother added three new all-in-one inkjet printers to its lineup last week.
Brother's MFC all-in-one line.
The new printer/fax/scanner units ship this month. All the new models feature automatic photo-correction features, including red-eye removal, skin tone enhancement, cropping and the ability to convert color images to monochrome or sepia. They can print directly from camera memory cards or USB drives.
The all-in-ones also offer Ethernet connectivity and a fax-preview mode that lets users examine the content of an incoming fax on the display before printing.
The $149 MFC-465CN features print speeds of up to 30 ppm black and 25 ppm color, a 2-inch flip up LCD and a photo bypass paper tray with a 20 sheet capacity (4-inch by 6-inch paper).
The MFC-685CW, for a suggested $199, builds off the 465CN with a 3.3-inch widescreen LCD, built-in Wi-Fi networking, a digital answering machine, duplex speakerphone and attached handset.
Finally the MFC-885CW builds off the 685CW by adding a 4.2-inch display and an expandable 5.8GHz digital cordless phone system (up to a total of four handsets). It will retail for a suggested $249.
