Boston Acoustics Expands, Alters Management Team

Peabody, Mass. — Boston Acoustics (BA) has restructured its management team, naming Eli Harary senior VP/general manager, hiring Dan Anagnos as product development and engineering VP and naming Phil Cohn sales and marketing senior VP for home and mobile products.

Under the leadership of Boston president Charlie Randall, who also heads up sister company McIntosh, the new BA executive team will help the company grow distribution as it expands its product line in high-performance home entertainment, the company said.

Harary is a home audio veteran who was most recently sales and marketing VP for the Infinity Home Speaker brand. Cohn was previously sales VP for ReplayTV and Rio Audio. Anagnos will oversee Boston’s worldwide product development effort and has worked at Polk Audio and Sony and been a consultant to various consumer electronics clients.

In a prepared statement Randall said, “With veteran consumer electronics marketer Eli Harary as senior VP/general manager, plus the addition of Dan Anagnos to head up the engineering division, we will move forward with an aggressive and targeted growth strategy, following through on our commitment to serve our valued customers with the very best products and services.”

Bob Weissburg, president of parent D&M Holdings sales and marketing, North America, added: “We’re especially looking forward to the contributions that Phil Cohn will be able to make in his expanded role as senior VP of sales and marketing for home and mobile products. Phil has proven himself to be both a strategic thinker and a detail-oriented executive capable of following through on a variety of creative sales and marketing initiatives.”
