Bosch, Thermador Cook Up New Lines For KBIS

LAS VEGAS – BSH Home Appliances introduced a completely redesigned kitchen line of cooking, ventilation and refrigeration products at Design & Construction week that provide European aesthetics, flush installation and other luxury features for the mass premium market.

Within the Bosch brand, highlights included a Benchmark series of wall and steam convention ovens and an induction cooktop. The latter features FlexInduction cooking, which breaks the boundaries of burners to accommodate more diverse cookware. FlexInduction can combine two cooking zones into one larger zone to allow for longer roasting pans and can accommodate a variety of griddle, pot and pan sizes on the cooktop, while still delivering the direct heat of induction, the company said.

The wall oven employs a universal cutout design for easy installation, plus the company’s SideOpening door option with built-in flush installation for better ergonomic access to the oven cavity. The steam convection oven – the first, Bosch said, for the mass premium market – offers steam, true convection and steam convection combination cooking options.

The cooking products, set to hit retail floors in April, are part of a sweeping 100-plus SKU rollout, the company said.

Meanwhile, sister division Thermador is showcasing new cooking fare including a trimless induction cooktop for its Freedom line, set to ship in April, and a Professional Grill surface cooking addition featuring lava rocks and grill plates that fully cover the heating elements to offer exceptional grilling performance and genuine smoky flavor without flare-ups. That product is slated to ship in August.
