Bob Dylan To Host XM Show

Washington — XM Satellite Radio announced that Bob Dylan will host a new music show on XM, marking the first time the singer/songwriter has hosted a radio show.

The weekly hour-long show will start in March and will air music selected by Dylan and his commentary on music and other topics. He will also interview special guests and take e-mail from XM subscribers.

“Songs and music have always inspired me. A lot of my own songs have been played on the radio, but this is the first time I’ve ever been on the other side of the mike,” said Dylan in a prepared statement. “It’ll be as exciting for me as it is for XM.”

Dylan has released more than 44 albums containing more than 600 songs, which have been covered by more than 2,000 artists.

Separately, Sirius Satellite Radio announced today that it has expanded its partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to offer more live games and to become an official NBA marketing partner.
