Carlstadt, N.J. — BDI-Laguna, distributor of consumer electronics, GPS devices and computer products, has named Ray Navarrete as its new purchasing VP.
Navarrete has been in the industry for nearly 30 years and has worked with many retailers including The Wiz, Fry’s Electronics, Tops Appliance City and Crazy Eddie.
In his new position, the company said he will be responsible for managing BDI-Laguna’s purchasing activities and strengthening vendor relationships.
While announcing the new addition to his management team, BDI-Laguna’s purchasing executive VP Joel Blank said of Navarrete, “He recognizes the challenges facing customers, retailers and suppliers and has well-defined plans on how to address those challenges. Armed with the understanding of how the industry operates from both sides of the desk as well as a variety of well-established relationships with top electronics manufacturers, he is prepared to lead and support BDI-Laguna’s goals.”
