Barnes & Noble Adds 3rd-Party CE Online

New York - Barnes & Noble has added consumer electronics
to its e-commerce site's third-party marketplace.

CE is one of five new categories to join the assortment, including
home and gift, arts and crafts, toys and games, and baby.

The site, located at located at, presently
supports more than 10,000 third-party merchants, including new CE addition
Abe's of Maine.

The bookseller said the new categories will add more than 1
million products to its online offering.

"The expansion of Marketplace is an organic extension
of our consumer value proposition," said John Foley, the company's e-commerce
president. "In this way, we can offer our valued customers a one-stop shopping
