Averatec Adds Dual Core Chips To Line

Santa Ana, Calif. – Averatec has introduced the 2300 Series of ultra-portable notebook computers, its first such models incorporating AMD’s dual core processors.

The models feature the Media Center Edition 2005 operating system and AMD’s Turion X2 dual core chips. The notebooks are centered on a 12-inch display and can take up to 2GB of DDR memory, a 100GB hard drive, dual-layer burner, and full Wi-Fi wireless. Depending upon the configuration suggested retail prices range between $849 and $949.

The units will sell through Circuit City, Staples, Sam’s Club, OfficeMax and AAFES.
