Irvine, Calif. — AudioQuest, a provider of audio/video/data cables, announced it has signed a “strategic relationship agreement” with Imation.
Under the agreement, AudioQuest will develop high-quality, differentiated cable products to be marketed by several of Imation’s premier retail brands. The initial product offering, expected to launch in early 2009, will be a Memorex-branded line of cables for home audio/video use. AudioQuest said.
“The agreement with Imation allows AudioQuest an opportunity to take our high-performance designs to a much broader, global customer base,” said William Low, CEO and founder of AudioQuest, in a statement. “Imation has unmatched channel coverage in virtually all regions of the world and a reputation as a leader in data storage, audio and video electronics and accessories. Teaming with Imation, we are enthused about applying our knowledge and experience to design an outstanding line of audio/video and data cables that will allow Imation’s customers to more fully enjoy the potential of their audio/video equipment. We look forward to working with Imation to offer new designs and a tremendous sound and video experience to a wider audience.”
