Dallas – AT&T U-Verse subscribers can now stream live TV to their Android smartphones and tablets via a new app, AT&T announced.
The company also began today to stream live TV to its uverse.com web site for its subscribers.
The announcement follows an Oct. 7 launch of an iPhone app to stream live U-Verse programming and the Sept. 30 launch of an iPad app to stream live TV.
The apps and Uverse.com offer more than 100 live channels for viewing in the home and more than 20 channels available to watch outside the home. The new channels are available to U-verse TV customers as part of their U-family or higher packages. AT&T said it will add more live channels in the future.
In addition to streaming live channels, the app and Uverse.com let customers stream thousands of on-demand TV shows and movies and manage a DVR remotely.
