AT&T Expands Netbook Offerings

Dallas
– AT&T will expand its netbook selection with the Nov. 22 addition of
Samsung’s Go N310, available in AT&T stores and AT&T’s Web site at $199 after mail-in rebate
and with 3G data plan starting at $35/month.

The netbook was previously available through retailers without 3G
for $379 to $429.

Samsung’s 2.9-pound Go
features Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition OS, 10.1-inch widescreen
LED-backlit LCD display, 1GB RAM,
120GB hard drive, Intel Atom
N270processor, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

The Go joins three other
netbooks
available since the summer in AT&T stores following an
early-year test of netbook sales through select AT&T stores in a handful of
markets. The other netbooks are the 3G-equipped Acer Aspire One, Dell Inspiron
Mini 10 and Lenovo S10, all priced $199 after mail-in rebate with a two-year
service contract for a 3G data plan, which includes unlimited use of AT&T
Wi-Fi service available in more than 20,000 hot spots nationwide.

AT&T also provides 3G service for Nokia’s first netbook,
launched this month through Best Buy, which has the exclusive for the holiday
season. AT&T hasn’t said whether it would also offer the netbook through
its stores after the holidays.

AT&T operates more than 2,200 retail outlets.
