AT&T Adds Monthly Unlimited Prepaid

Dallas
AT&T plans an Oct. 12 launch of its
first monthly unlimited-use prepaid plan for cellular users.

The carrier added a $60/month Unlimited Talk and Text plan to its GoPhone prepaid plans, allowing
unlimited nationwide calling, texting, instant messaging and video messaging to
anyone within the U.S.
It also offers unlimited texting, IM, and picture and video messaging to anyone
in the U.S., Mexico, Canada and more than 100 other
countries.

Other carriers and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) have
launched unlimited prepaid plans this year, including Boost Mobile, which
offers a $50/month plan with unlimited voice, text and mobile web.

AT&T’s other prepaid GoPhone plans include pay-as-you-go
packages, one of which offers unlimited
nationwide calling for $3/day. The charge applies only on days when users make
or receive voice calls.
