3/06/2007 12:04:00 PM Eastern

City of Industry, Calif. — American Telecom Services (ATS) will sell a DECT phone with SunRocket’s VoIP service through retail this month.

The E6501S phone is expandable up to five handsets and the base unit plugs directly into a broadband modem or router.

It will be available this month through “one of the nation’s largest office superstores” the firms said.

The $100 phone will be available at an introductory price of $19.99 after a service activation rebate.

Vienna, Va-based SunRocket offers a number of calling plans, including an annual all-you-can dial service for $199.

ATS recently partnered with VoIP provider Lingo to bring another VoIP-enabled DECT phone through retail. In addition to VoIP phones, ATS offers DECT phones with prepaid landline long-distance minutes from IDT.
