Apple Opening 4th Manhattan Store

New York – Apple will open its fourth
retail store in Manhattan
on Saturday.

The showroom, located on Broadway and W. 67th on Manhattan’s Upper West Side,
features an all-glass arched roof, a 45-foot “Genius Bar” service area, more
than 200 staffers, and “more Macs, iPods and iPhones than any store in the
world,” Apple said.

“We opened our first store in Manhattan seven years ago, and the response
has been incredible,” noted retail senior VP Ron Johnson. The company described
its prior SoHo, W. 14th Street and Central Park South locations as “hugely
successful.”

The latest addition – located one block from Lincoln Center and
five blocks from Best Buy – will be the 15th Apple Store within the
New York metro area and the 281st store worldwide.

 Apple will celebrate the
opening by giving limited-edition commemorative T-shirts to the first 2,500
visitors.
