Alpine Forms New Aftermarket Group

Torrance, Calif. – Alpine Electronics of America has reorganized its aftermarket business
group, effective Jan. 1, 2010.

Steve Crawford has been named VP/ general manager, aftermarket
business unit, and will lead the sales, marketing and product planning teams
for North and South America.

Crawford joins Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. from Alpine’s
headquarters in Iwaki,
Japan,
where he was responsible for global aftermarket business as general manager of
the Alpine aftermarket department.

He will report to Jim O’Neill, sales and marketing executive VP,
Alpine Electronics of America.

“The consolidation of sales, marketing and product planning under
Steve will result in greater speed and flexibility to respond to market
changes, and will strengthen Alpine’s leadership in the industry,” O’Neill said
in a prepared statement.

Additional changes include the promotion of Mike Anderson to sales
and marketing assistant VP.  Anderson, a 20-year veteran of the company,
has held several key sales management positions at Alpine.  He now will be
responsible for all aftermarket sales and will report to Crawford.

Tom Yamasaki, product planning assistant VP; Jim Topalian, brand
marketing manager; and Steve Brown, product marketing manager, all will report
directly to Crawford.

Last week Glenn Ihrke, national sales VP of Alpine Electronics of
America for the past 15 years and a 26-year veteran of the company, contacted
industry members along with Alpine and said that he is leaving the company by
the end of the year.
