Almo To Exhibit At D SE

Philadelphia – Almo Professional A/V, the commercial arm of
national majap and CE distributor Almo, will be out in full force at next
week’s Digital Signage Expo (DSE).

The event runs March 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Almo, at booth 631, plans to showcase seven video walls in
different configurations, as well as two test-drive stations that will give
attendees the opportunity to try out content-creation/management options, the
company said.

 Almo will showcase the
latest digital signage products resulting from new and exclusive distribution
agreements with manufacturers including NanoLumens, Planar, Christie MicroTiles
and BrightSign, and is also sponsoring and participating in several educational
sessions throughout the show.

“Our booth theme is ‘Digital Signage Your Way,'” explained Melody
Craigmyle, marketing VP for Almo Professional A/V. “We have made our booth a
red carpet experience for attendees by allowing them to come in and explore in
a hands-on environment with their very own ‘digital signage concierge’ to guide
the way.

She continued, “The Almo booth experience is different because
it’s not about one specific manufacturer. We work with our integrators to help
them build one-of-a-kind systems for a specific project using displays, content
management, signal distribution and everything else necessary for a full
digital signage installation.”

New lines include:

•        NanoLumens line of
ultra-slim and lightweight flexible and rigid LED displays for use in spaces
previously impossible with traditional displays;

•        Planar Systems’
large-scale video wall and digital display systems, including the new
Silhouette display and stand, a 10-foot-tall sculptural implementation of video
for architectural applications. It includes four LCD screens configured on a
free-standing base, the required display and processing electronics, and all
required installation services, and;

•        The Christie
MicroTiles JumpStart content-management package, which allows content to be
easily arranged in various shapes and resolutions on a large video wall.

The two test-drive stations will be run with content-management
systems using AMX’s Inspired XPress and BrightSign’s Digital Sign Controller.
Attendees can use these systems and publish projects live and on the fly in the
Almo booth.

Almo Pro A/V is also participating in the following educational
sessions:

•        Broaden Your
Creative Horizons Using Flexible Digital Signage, featuring Richard Cope, CEO,
NanoLumens, on Wednesday, March 7, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Theater B,
where attendees learn how to apply flexible LED technology to engage audiences
in new ways;

March 7, from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Theater B, where attendees can learn
about the blending of modern display technologies with the art of decorating a
space to ensure that the design and electronics suit the style and function of
the space, and;

•        Introduction to the

Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
