San Jose, Calif. — Acer America boosted its consumer LCD monitor line with the addition of five models ranging in price from $179 to $599.
The units are part of the company’s new xSeries, which include 17-inch, 19-inch, 22-inch and 24-inch models.
The line starts with the entry-level 17-inch x171s at $179. It features 1,280 by 1,024 native resolution, 700:1 contrast ratio and an 8ms screen response time. The step-up X191sd, at $199, has the same features base on a 19-inch screen.
The line goes widescreen starting with the 19-inch x191Wsd for $189. It has a native resolution of 1,440 by 900, an 800:1 contrast ratio and a 5 ms response time. The 22-inch x221Wsd, for $279, bumps up to 1,680 by 1,050 resolution while the top-end 24-inch x241Wsd, for $599, has a 1,920 by 1,200 native resolution and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio.
All models are now available.
