ACD Systems Updates Flagship Software

Victoria, British Columbia — ACD Systems updated its flagship digital imaging software this week with the release of ACDSee 7.

The new version adds a Device Synchronization function that lets users control their camera’s memory card storage space while automating image downloading. Consumers choose which folders their images should automatically be saved to, as well as determine the amount of space that should always be available on a specific memory card.

Another new feature is the addition of a context-sensitive toolbar, which automatically adapts to a user’s task by displaying the most commonly used software functions for the user’s current project.

ACDSee 7 also offers an Image Well that allows users to view their entire digital photo collection in one window. Users can also use the selective browsing feature to dynamically match specific criteria from folders, categories and calendar dates.

The software supports RAW formats from the major camera manufacturers, including Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Kodak and Konica Minolta.

The software will be available standalone for a suggested $49.99 or as part of a PowerPack suite for a suggested $79.99 that also includes ACD Photo Editor 3.1 editing software and FotoSlate 3.1 printing software.
