10-Month White iPhone4 Delay Over

4/27/2011 09:46:41 AM Eastern

Cupertino, Calif. - The long-delayed white iPhone 4 goes on sale tomorrow in the U.S. and multiple foreign countries following a delay of about 10 months.

Apple didn't offer more of an explanation on what accounted for the delay than it did last July, when it said white models "have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected."

In the U.S., the white iPhone 4 models will be available through Apple's online store (, Apple's retail stores, AT&T and Verizon Wireless stores, and select Apple authorized resellers, Apple said. Like the black model, the white iPhone 4 will be available at a suggested retail of $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a new two year agreement.

The white model also becomes available tomorrow in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, and the U.K. "Many more countries" will get it "soon," the company said.
