City of Industry, Calif. - MSI Computer said Wednesday that it is now shipping two slim 64-Bit Windows 7 notebook PCs.

Both laptops offer Intel Core processors, integrated Intel GMA HD or an Nvidia GeForce GT540M video card, and THX TruStudio Pro sound.

Both the X460 and X460DX notebooks also feature 14-inch LCD screens, measure 13.35 by 9.43 by 1 inches, and weigh 4.3 pounds.

The models are available in three configurations with suggested retails starting $800. All ship with a one-year manufacturer's limited warranty.

MSI retail partners, including Newegg and Amazon, are currently taking orders, the company said.

"The X460 and X460DX takes our current X series to another level, shrinking the power and performance of a larger notebook into a mobile unit with exceptional battery life," stated Andy Tung, MSI U.S. sales VP. "Crafted with the mobile professional in mind, these units feature a sleek design that reflects MSI's pursuit for innovation and style."

Both models incorporate DVD Super-multi optical disc drives and THX TruStudio Pro audio technology, which is designed to replicate the sound of live performances, films and recording studios from the small enclosure.

The model X460 includes an Intel i7-2630QM processor (2-2.9GHz), 64-bit Windows 7 Professional OS, Intel HD3000 integrated graphics processing, a 750GB (7200 rpm) HDD and 6GB DDR RAM. It also features Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) 2.0 that enables users to easily connect their laptops to any television unit using standard Wi-Fi.

"The MSI X460 model featuring the latest Intel Core processors and Wireless Display technology effectively addresses the needs of the mobile professional, giving them superior performance and easy connectivity," said Joe Van de Water, Intel product marketing manager.

The X460DX version substitutes an Intel i5-2410M (2.3-2.9GHz) or i3-2310M (2.1HGz) core processor, 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium OS, Nvidia GeForce GT540M 1G GDDR3 video card, 500GB (7200 rpm) HDD and 6GB or 4GB DDR3 RAM.

All configurations include two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI connectivity, WiDi2 support and a 1.3-megapixel integrated webcam.
