Cathedral City, Calif. - Linder's Furniture, the Southern California home-furnishings and consumer electronics chain, opened its second superstore in as many months on Saturday, bringing the store count to 11.

Linder’s CEO Phil Linder cuts the ribbon on his second superstore with president Eric Foucrier (center) and director Tom Campbell (with microphone), as city and state officials look on.
Located here in the Palm Desert area, the 130,000-square-foot facility supplants the company's Room Express outlet in this market and continues its new superstore strategy. Linder's opened its first superstore, a 50,000-square-foot showroom located in a former Wickes Furniture site in Rancho Cucamonga, in February.

According to company director Tom Campbell, the grand-opening weekend drew huge crowds that bought out all Mitsubishi 3D TV inventory and drove sales to twice the retailer's projections.
