GARDEN GROVE, CALIF. – Linder’s Furniture, the Southern California home-furnishings and CE chain, will began its going-out-of-business sales last Thursday at its 11 stores.

The 31-year-old business, which integrated CE with furniture in its showroom vignettes, entered into a General Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors under California law on Nov. 2 as an alternative to bankruptcy, but has since decided to shut its doors.

Gordon Brothers Group is conducting the fire sale, which will run until the chain’s $20 million inventory is sold.

“Sadly, this marks the end of our 31-year history,” chairman and founder Phil Linder said.
