lgSeoul, South Korea - LG Electronics will update the logo of its Optimus smartphone brand and show the first phones with the new logo at the Mobile World Congress, which runs from Feb. 27 to March 1 in Barcelona, Spain.

The brand was introduced two years ago.

The logo is promoted as reinforcing LG's design philosophy of delivering "modern and seamless simplicity." New smartphones with the logo will "bring design prestige to users seeking aesthetic beauty on technological devices," the company claimed.
