Seoul, South Korea - LG Display reported a reduced net loss and operating loss, but higher sales in the fourth quarter.

In various web reports the company said its quarterly loss was reduced based on strong demand for smartphones, tablet makers and stabilized prices for TV panels.

Operating loss was 144.75 billion won, down from 386.9 billion won year on year. Net loss was 6.25 million in the quarter, down from 268.3 million in last year's fourth quarter. Revenue rose from 6.48 trillion won in the prior year's fourth quarter to 6.6 trillion won.
