Research Triangle, N.C. - Lenovo has introduced two notebooks and
an all-in-one device into its consumer line.
The notebooks fall under Lenovo's G series and will ship next
month, while the C315 all-in-one will be available one month later.
The G-series entries consist of the G455 and G555. These have the
same feature set, but the G455 has a 14-inch display and the G555 has a
slightly larger 15-inch LCD.
The general specifications are AMD Turion II dual-core processors
and ATI Radeon HD integrated graphics. Each has a newly designed ergonomic
keyboard and Lenovo's Energry Management 5.0 software, one-touch backup, a repair
and recovery utility, and Veriface facial-recognition security software that
uses a camera to log a person onto the computer.
The G455 has a $499 starting price, and the G555 will have a
slightly higher, but as yet undecided price tag, the company said.
The C315 will be made available with a variety of AMD dual-core
processors, 4GB of memory, and a 20-inch display has touchscreen capability. The
computer will come bundled with a suite of touch-optimized titles.
