expanded its line of USB keyboards with the addition of two portable models.
The MicroKey-25 ($69.99
suggested retail) and the MicroKey-61 ($179) are geared toward budget-minded computer
musicians who want a compact and customized MIDI command center, the company
said. They are USB-powered and feature velocity-sensing mini keys, using the
Natural Touch key bed.
According to Korg, the
proportions of the black keys and white "waterfall" keys have been adjusted for
optimal playability, with a key touch that makes it easy to play chords. Free Korg
Kontrol Editor software enables users to customize the device for their production
or performance system.
