Seattle — Amazon said its recently announced Kindle DX e-Book reader will ship June 10.

The larger, 9.7-inch screen of the Kindle DX makes it suitable for reading magazines and newspapers. It will carry a price of $489.

Amazon had previously announced a general summer launch for the Kindle DX.
