Stillwater, Okla. - Kicker will go to International CES to launch its most compact powered-subwoofer system to date for vehicles.

The HS8 Hideaway Compact Powered Subwoofer System incorporates a subwoofer driver and amplifier in a compact enclosure to simplify the installation of a subwoofer in the smallest out-of-the-way locations as possible in a vehicle. The system is around 3 inches high by 14 inches deep, and it packs a 150-watt amplifier, 6.5-inch long-throw subwoofer, and 8-inch square passive radiator to add bass to a sound system pending), adding bass to any vehicle and fitting in the tightest locations.

 It comes with quick-connect power harness. Nylon straps are designed for secure installation and quick removal, the company said.

 The system, which ships in spring at an undisclosed price, was named an International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree.
