Redwood Shores, Calif. - Kensington added two wall laptop power adapters to its line of power solutions.

The adapters are designed to be universally compatible with laptops from Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, Dell, IBM, Acer, Lenovo and Toshiba, among others. The K38074US wall laptop power adapter ($69.99) is billed as a replacement for a primary laptop adapter, while the K38077US wall laptop power adapter with USB power port ($79.99) delivers dual charging abilities for all USB devices.

Both adapters reportedly went under a variety of testing procedures, including burn-in testing, dynamic load testing, temperature testing, and HiPot testing used to verify isolation/insulation.

They are also Energy Star qualified, Kensington said, and are reported to use 30 percent less energy than conventional adapters.

Both are currently available.
