New York – JVC unveiled its first Sirius satellite radio product—a transportable plug-n-play unit with car and home kits, at a press conference held here.
Called the KT-SR1000, it will ship in limited quantities in December at a list price of $99 plus $49 for each kit. The transportable receiver has a ‘PDA look’ said the company. It offers 30 presets and the ability to capture your favorite song. The car kit has a suction cup mount and a wireless FM transmitter. A cassette adapter car kit will also be available at $29. All kits come with a magnetic antenna. The KT-SR1000 also falls under a $49 mail-in rebate offer from Sirius.
