said Thursday it will launch its NFL Sunday Ticket service on JetBlue Airways
, starting next Sunday.
The airline said it is starting off by giving passengers the
opportunity to watch the live broadcast of the New York Jets vs. The Buffalo
Bills football game via DirecTV's exclusive sports package. Both teams are
sponsored by JetBlue Airways.
JetBlue will make up to 14 Sunday Ticket games every week part of
its free, live programming lineup throughout the regular NFL season.
"From the sofa to the seatback, NFL fans can enjoy DirecTV's NFL
Sunday Ticket just about anywhere," said Alex Kaplan, DireTV sports marketing senior
director. "It's a great way to satisfy those die-hard NFL fans who have to
travel on Sunday and miss their game. Now fans can watch every minute, of every
game, every Sunday, whether they're at home, in a sports bar, watching on their
cell phone or iPad, or cruising at 35,000 feet."

seatback screens, including all of the pre-and post-game action. For those
customers who aren't football fans, we'll continue to provide a variety of
other live channels for free."
JetBlue has been offering 36 channels of DirecTV programming
From Oct. 3, 2010, to Jan. 2, 2011, select channels will be
replaced by the Sunday Ticket presentations on Sundays between 12:00 to 8:00
