San Francisco - Jabra
made a series of announcements Wednesday evening, including the introduction of
a site that aggregates Jabra-friendly apps.
Jabra, a brand of GN
Netcom, introduced its Wave design headset, which will be offered in three
versions: black or red Bluetooth models or a corded version in black. Features
include an enhanced behind-the-ear wearing style, new wind-noise reduction
technology, Voice Guidance and Multiuse technology, which lets the headset be
connected to two devices at the same time.
The Wave will available
in Verizon Wireless stores in November for $69.99.
Jabra also launched the
Skype-certified Extreme - For PC wireless headset. It comes with a pre-paired
USB adapter that automatically connects the headset to a PC and Skype software,
the company said.
Multiuse technology, dual microphones, Ultimate-fit Eargels and two rotatable
ear hooks. Talktime is listed at 5.5 hours with standby time at 10.5 days. It
weighs 10 grams.
The Extreme - For PC is
currently available for $99.99 at Best Buy.
Finally, the company
announced its World of Apps, a library of existing third-party hands-free apps
that can be used with Jabra's devices.
