iRiver Enters e-Reader Market

iRiver

is jumping on the e-reader bandwagon and will provide its first model for the
U.S. market in the first quarter of 2010.

The Story is a
non-wireless e-reader with a 6-inch E Ink display and a slim form factor. It
will include a voice recorder, MP3 player and a personal organizer with a
scheduler and memo pad. The unit has 2GB of internal memory and an SD card
capacity of 16GB. It can store more than 13,000 book titles and is compatible
with EPUB, PDF and Microsoft Office document files. Battery life is 100
hours. 

The Story will be
unveiled officially at International CES with pricing and e-book content to be
announced.
