Cumberland, R.I. - ION launched a
wireless iPod dongle and wireless speaker that lets consumers create a wireless
multi-room audio system.
The $199 Anyroom system consists of
a 2.4GHz wireless dongle that connects to iPods and iPhones to transmit
uncompressed audio and control signals up to 600 feet throughout the house to a
companion single-chassis tabletop powered stereo speaker system. Multiple Anyroom
speakers can be used in a home. Consumers can use the iPod or iPhone as a
wireless RF remote to control song selection, volume level and system EQ.
The speakers feature 32-watt output, which is
