CES Asia Tops 100 Exhibitors

Shanghai, China – International CES Asia has drawn more than 100 exhibiting companies for its May 25-27 debut, the show’s producers report.

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), which will launch the show at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), said the exhibitors represent 12 countries including China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Korea, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan and the U.S., and will occupy 8,500 net square meters of display space.

The event was designed to draw global businesses to showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace, and will feature such tech themes as the Internet of Things (IoT), innovation and connectivity.

“We are thrilled with the positive, global response from companies planning to exhibit at CES Asia, reinforcing the show as a major gateway to the vitally important and influential Asian marketplace,” said CEA president/CEO Gary Shapiro. “The entire ecosystem of the consumer technology market will be represented at CES Asia, from the automotive industry to the Internet of Things and beyond. These companies will have the opportunity to showcase their latest innovations before technology leaders, buyers, media and key decision-makers in the Asian tech market.”

Global brands exhibiting at the show will include Audi, Audio-Technica, DTS, Ford, Garmin, Gibson Brands, Hisense, Intel, Mercedes-Benz, Monster, Schosche, Skullcandy, TomTom, Voxx and Zagg. A complet list of exhibitors can be found here.

CES Asia will feature three Marketplace sections, representing 3D printing, robotics and wearables, along with 14 product categories ranging from smart home and automotive to sports and fitness.

Nearly 6,000 consumer technology professionals from 80 countries have registered for the event, CEA said, 43 percent of whom described themselves as senior-level executives.
