CEA Takes Hollywood For CES Entertainment Preview

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) threw a party in the Hollywood Hills earlier this month to make the case for International CES as a must-attend event for the entertainment, content and digital marketing, and advertising industries.

Karen Chupka, CEA’s senior VP of International CES and corporate business strategy, outlined the featured attractions at the show’s new C Space at Aria location and announced that Neal Mohan, Google’s display and video advertising VP, and Scott Burke, Yahoo’s advertising senior VP, will deliver headline addresses at the new location.

C Space is described as a destination for brand marketers and creative professionals to discover the latest trends in digital marketing and advertising. The location will feature conference programming, meeting suites, targeted display areas and social events for marketing, advertising, media and entertainment execs.

CEA also revealed that Amazon Media Group, BrightLine, GroupM, Hulu, Meredith, RadiumOne, Rubicon Project and USA Today are among the content industry leaders participating in C Space.

“We created C Space at Aria to elevate how content, creativity, technology and the consumer come together at the 2015 CES,” said Chupka, “With digital advertising experts from Google and Yahoo as our C Space headliners, along with a slate of other top-notch participants, brand marketers and creative professionals will find C Space the ideal setting to spark new ideas and network at CES.”

Also at C Space, the Association of National Advertisers will present the Digital Disruption conference track designed to bring together client side marketers to present thought leadership and share stories of winning campaigns and partnerships. These executives will discuss the hottest issues in digital marketing and media.

Speakers include Michael Donnelly, senior VP and group head of global digital marketing at MasterCard Worldwide; Stevie Benjamin, digital and media senior director at MillerCoors; and Tony Pace, chief marketing officer of the Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund.

The Aria will also be home to the show’s Brand Matters program, which aims to provide “a critical, curated experience for brand marketing professionals, offering events, insights and business contacts that assist them with seizing the opportunities in our newly connected media universe by learning how technology changes their interaction with the consumer.”

The return of the CES Entertainment Matters program will also be based at the Aria. Chupka introduced this year’s ambassador, entertainer Nick Cannon, who will further the program’s cause of offering events, thought leadership and exposure to new business relationships in the content and entertainment fields, she said.

Cannon is the host of “America’s Got Talent” as well as a producer of TV and film projects through his multimedia company NCredible Entertainment.

Cannon also produced a collection of Monster NCredible high-end headphones and a line of tablets.

Transportation to the new location will be accommodated with the C Space Shuttle, presented by Hook- Logic, with frequent shuttle service between all CES locations, CEA said.
